Welcome to the start of November! It’s hard to believe how fast this school year is going. With the holiday season soon approaching, I wanted to make you aware of a way to get some early shopping finished while benefitting a great cause.

The Buckskin Boosters are holding their third-annual Fall Craft Show at Conestoga Valley on Saturday, Nov. 11. The show features nearly 60 vendors selling handmade goods including primitive items, jewelry, ceramics, plants, teas, sports items, candles, wreaths, holiday decorations and more. Santa may even stop by to visit and take photos with children!  You can find out more about the show here and share the event with your friends on Facebook here.

If you’re an artisan who is looking to sell your products at the show, you’re in luck! The Boosters still have a few open spaces. If interested, please contact Beverly Ayers at CVCraftShow@aol.com for more information.

Though the Buckskin Boosters put on several fun events throughout the school year, the organization’s true mission is to help CV students. The group does a ton of work to benefit CV facilities and student activities. In case you aren’t aware, the Buckskin Boosters is a consortium of booster clubs that raises funds to help maintain and improve extracurricular facilities at CV, including athletics, band and drama. The Boosters have funded more than $300,000 in facility enhancements for CV and played a huge role in the $1.2 million capital campaign that took place several years ago.

In addition to the Craft Show, the Boosters hold several other fundraisers throughout the year, including the upcoming Harlem Wizards game, which will take place on Thursday, Nov. 16 in CVHS’s Rill Gym at 6:30 p.m. The team will take on a group of CV faculty (also known as the CV Sorcerers) in a fun and exciting game of basketball. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door.

The Buckskin Boosters are an instrumental group at CV. Come out and support them – and CV student activities – at these fun upcoming events. We hope to see you there!
